We make it easy for consumers to search 29,000+ FDA enforcement records and find out if a specific food brand has been recalled, when it happened, and how serious it was.
Our goal is simple: help people know what’s in their kitchen. Whether you are checking a brand before you shop, investigating a recent news report, or researching a brand’s safety history, FoodRecallFinder is designed to give you immediate clarity.
Why We Built This
The FDA publishes food recall data publicly — but finding it is hard. Their search interface is slow, technical, and not designed for everyday consumers. There is no easy way to look up a brand’s full recall history, understand how serious past recalls were, or know whether a brand you buy regularly has had safety issues.
FoodRecallFinder fills that gap. We take the same official government data and present it in a clean, searchable format that anyone can use in seconds.
How Our Data Works
All data on this site comes directly from the FDA Recall Enterprise System via the openFDA public API — the same data the government publishes. We do not add opinions, grades, or editorial commentary. Every number on this site is a mathematically verifiable fact derived from official government records.
